One of the link pins in my Tag keeps falling out, so took it to a well known watch shop at lunchtime to see if they could sort it.

10 minutes later and i get a £20 bill for a new sleeve to go in the link, didn't even need a new pin. At least Dick Turpin wore a bloody mask!

£20 sodding quid, never asked if i was happy to pay that or suggested there would be a charge. Suffice to say i'll not be buying a watch from them when i get a new one. Robbing b'stards.

How long did it take them to do though? The cost is not only the part, but the time for someone to replace the sleeve. How much would you expect to pay?

ETA - help if I could read - you said 10 mins to replace... I still don't think its **too** unreasonable.

You didn't buy your last watch from them, you wont buy your next watch from them, but you did want them to repair your watch on the cheap. I bet they really look forward to customers like yourself
