Afternoon all!

I took my 42mm IWC Spitfire into Preston and Duckworth on Guidlford High St about 3 weeks back to get the watch sent to IWC for a case refurb.

As some of you know, the watch has already been back to IWC a couple of times in the last 18 months and so did not require a service. Usually IWC say that you cannot have a case refurb without the service, but the nice guys at P&D explained that they had already done it before and that it would be nice if they could do it for me, and they agreed...

So, £150 later and the watch has come back and looks really good! They are still a couple of very, very minor marks (probably marginally too deep to refurb) that I can still see, but I don't think you would notice them at all if you didn't know what you were looking for. Considering I was told £100 to have it polished locally, I don't think that price was too bad to have it sent to and done by IWC themselves.

Now it is back, I am having 2nd thoughts about selling it on! It does look gorgeous, pretty much brand new again! My missus thinks I should keep it as she likes the look of it when I wear it, but I think I would rather have the cash for car bits and pieces and invest in the black, ceramic model when it comes out later in the year (apparently they are doing a new ceramic, non-Top Gun etc model)... OR just keep it and p/x it when the ceramic ones come in - Decsions!

I guess it is a bit like when you come to sell a car, do all the niggly jobs and then give it a dman good valet... Then look at it and decide you love it and don't want to part with it!!!

I will get some pictures posted up tonight/ tomorrow, so you can see the quality of the work... It's good!

Basically, thumbs up to P&D, Guildford and i am loving my watch again!!!
