Which strap,Omega?
Discussion
Hello chaps,
Now a couple of months into having my Omega and I love it, wear it 24/7
I would like to know what kind of straps are out there, that will fit this watch. I would like a strap that I can wear everyday, maybe rubber, or leather.
I am a fan of the rubber Omega strap, but the price seems excessive.. So any recommendation's on sites that will sell straps that fit for less than £200?
Also, what size will I need, the watch is a 45mm and came with the bracelet as STD..
Hope you can help me

Hi Rob,
How about a nylon strap? I've got a couple (a black and the orange) I fit on an Old Rolex Sub.
There's a guy 'Terence Y' in Hong Kong or Singapore (can't remember which) that sells a couple of variants, he's reliable. Here's a link to one of his ads on a different forum.

The orange would look great on the PO.
Take care,
D

I think (correct me if i am wrong) the strap size that you require is 20mm.

Great, thats awesome.
I see they do the orange stitch black rubber one. Just what I wanted without the silly price tag from Omega.
Dominic, do you know off the top of your head the size required?
"Available in: 18mm / 20mm / 22mm / 24mm sizes"
You could just measure the gap across the lugs ...I see they do the orange stitch black rubber one. Just what I wanted without the silly price tag from Omega.

I have exactly the same watch - and the same issue.... didn't want to wear the watch on the bracelet all the time.
Ended up getting two straps (oen black with orange stitching and the other light brown with orange) from a guy called toshi on TZ-UK.
They are superb quality and cost £55 each.
TO get in touch with him, join TZ-UK and look on the for sale board for a straps for sale thread and PM him.
He is a really decent bloke to deal wi

Banda make some very nice leather straps. I have one with deployant clasp for my Speedmaster when I fancy a change.

Cheers guys, I will order something up tomorrow.
I am looking at the current metal strap, it looks like a jeweller would have to remove this, or is it easy?

PS - I think the black with orange stitching would look spot on with your PO, post a pic when you get it!

Hmmm... only the military watches look "right" with those Nato straps. Rich @ Toshi does some really exceptional hand made leather straps.

I have one on an Orsa Montsrum which has a 46mm case but because the leather is 5mm thick it is suitably chunky so as not to look out of place.
It's not the best pic I've ever taken but this is the fella
On top of all that the straps are reasonable price (£40 to £50 for a non antique leather one) and Rich is a real gent to deal with.
I'm waiting for a Marina Militare to arrive in the next few days and I will be in touch with Rich to get it on a Toshi straight away!
Cheers
