I am looking for a 60's Seamaster or similar. Any recommendations for good, reliable on-line retailers?

have a look at Christie's(auction house) website. Think they have a watch action coming up soon and there are a few omegas as well as Rolex(extremely expensive Daytonas!). Think there is at least one seamaster there

Looks a bit shifty to me. I'd never trust a web store that has no phone number or address listed. Pretty tempting though! The seamaster 30 for £350 is very tempting indeed!

That was my thinking. I have ordered a cleaning cloth from them to see how I get on. Anyone used them for watches?

I've bought from [url]Austin Kaye|http://www.austinkaye.com/[/url. You'll find a decent selection of '60s(ish) Seamasters, Constellations, etc, etc here at (I think) not unreasonable prices.

[Goes back and actually reads original post] - Should perhaps mention that I bought from them in person, but they do deal on-line, and on the basis of what I bought from them (a quite unusual Omega in a steel case with gold bezel and lugs) and the other stuff I looked at their descriptions are fair and realistic.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out there. I am up in London quite regularly, so may well drop in also.

Ah, the old cleaning cloth scam. They make it nice and easy to order cleaning cloths and then when you order a £1k watch, they take your money and run. Well-known in the watch world. nuts

Might be for some sites but not this one !!!!

Have a 5 year track record of internet sales on my site and Ebay, almost 5000+ positive feedbacks on Ebay with lots of happy customers calling back time and time again.

Sell items ranging from a few quid to a few thousand, sometimes upto £6k for a top end Omega, customer service is the same regardless and totally scam free.

No phone number or address due to the vast amount of Junk Mail & Tele Sales received from the details, I gladly give them out if asked for and more recently they are enclosed with each order on a business card.

Try here ....

http://www.watchestobuy.com/newpage3.htm

Never had any issues when I have purchased from them, and they are cute in the description on the parcel to help avoid import duties and issues.

Now the $US:£ has slipped, not quite the bargain the prices were earlier in the year though.

there is a shop in the Burlington arcade in the west end that specializes in vintage omega

Pricey - but stunning range and worth a visit if you are in the west end as it is like an omega museum

I ordered a strap for my Speedmaster from this company earlier this week (through Ebay). Arrived this morning, all in order and a few quid cheaper than I could find anywhere else on the internet.

Will be going back for another couple of straps shortly. And plenty of contact info included with the order with instrcutions to call should there be any problems at all with the order.
