Ok, a guy I work with is wearing a pretty strange watch today that I just can't identify. According to him it's a Breitling Aviator.

However, I've seen loads of Aviators and never seen this model.

It has the bezel of a Navimeter, the ani-digi face of the emergency and a small enamal Red Arrow at the 6pm position. It also has the turbine case back ff the B-1. The inside of the watch glass appears to be misted up in the center but 'apparently' this is a special coating that makes it highly readable underwater, just misty above water. It's a quartz movement.

The bezel looks like this watch...

and the face looks like this (only black)...

And the 6pm is a small side view of a Red Arrow.

The case back appears to be a B-1 turbine back but the font used in the markings can only be described as "comic sans" (Maybe an in joke?)

It's also on a Rubber strap that carries no markings at all and is secured with normal push pins.

I'm confused with this one, usually I'm quite good a spotting models but this one has me totally stumped. I just can't find a rubber strapped, Ani-Digi aviator with the navimeter outer bezel a B-1 turbine case back and a intentionally misted face wink

This guy also owns a Ferrari 355 with a manual box and no clutch, you change gear with an automated clutch operated by a push button on the standard gear stick. Apparently. Never seen any photos and he wont bring it to work. Another model I've never heard of rolleyes

I feel so sad for some people, I really do.

From what you have said about his Ferrari, i can only presume that the watch on his wrist is probably not a legitimate model.

The 355 was the first Ferrari to offer paddle gear change on the F1 model , maybe this is what he means. It basically a switch which operates the clutch then changes gear .

WOW, never knew that rolleyeswink

Nope, not the F1 change. Apparently his is a special model which has the full manual gearbox with classic ferrari gearstick. However his does not have a clutch peddle but instead has a small chrome button to operate the clutch mounted on the top of the standard gearknob. Apparently. rolleyes

I think by my original post you can tell the watch is a blatant fake made from design elements of about 4 different models from the B range. It's really poor.

I think his wife is a brain surgeon who models for Chanel in her spare time and was once a body double for <insertwhateversexyhollywoodactressyouwerediscussingatthetimehere>

Could be the system developed by Clay Regazzoni so that disabled peeps could drive a car with a manual gearbox, pretty redundant now with the development of the paddle shift etc, but it worked the clutch with a sensor on the gearlever.

I did suggest that he had a disabled modification, but oh no, this was a special model bought out after the F1 shift and mainly for the Japanese market. And it definately had a push button on the top of the gearstick, he even drew me a sketch nono

ps. Funny thing is one of the guys who sits near him and also knows his stuff looked at the watch and said with a wink "You didn't get the Mickey mouse hands fitted then?" I was coughing up my tea and it went right over the wearers head.

He was wearing it today and wouldn't let me take a photo as it was a "really rare edition" (I told him I collect photos of expensive watches hehe Blatant lie obviously, but not as big as his are)
