Hi,

Thought I'd consult the PH collective on which watch to buy with a budget of 3k. This will be my first expensive watch and I'm a little overwhelmed at the choice. I've always been a fan of Omega and Tag and I'm particularly drawn to the tag carrera series and the omega speedmaster/seamaster series.

I'm open to suggestions outside of these two brands of course (have seen some lovely Sinn watches in other threads - never heard of them before but they look very nice indeed).

One other thing to note is that I have REALLY skinny wrists so no chunky breitlings thanks!

Cheers

Well let me get the ball rolling by saying that as much as I like certain Omegas and Tags, you can do a *lot* better for £3k. Ultimately, once we've all finished giving you our advice and you go away to have a think, buy the watch that you really want, that's what matters. There's another £3k watch thread on here that contained some nice suggestions. If you're willing to go pre-owned, then have a look at IWC, Audemars Piguet, Panerai, Jaeger LeCoultre, some stunning models to choose from there. What kind of watch are you looking for?

I'd go pre-owned and look at the better brands.

Omega and Tag don't float my boat... especially Tag as it's so copied.

Probably seems like I'm plugging Dornblueth right now, but I'm just over-excited at having handled one for the first time, and I'm still in shock as to how beautiful it was.
