If you can still find one IMHO the best price/style/performance ratio out of the recent Omega offerings is the 2254.50 seamaster. Its being discontinued which is a shame because its a modern classic.

Have you considered a Seamaster GMT?

If you can find one on the original Seamaster bracelet (shown) as opposed to the current Speedmaster style bracelet then so much the better.

Thanks for the opinions chaps - I'm still not 100% so will go and have try today... Think I'm swaying towards the Planet Ocean in Orange, with black numbers - at least I could purchase a black bezel for fitting, should I not like the Orange after a while. The Planet Ocean seems to respond better to a wider variety of different straps, looking at pictures on the Internet.

Does it have to be an Omega?
I don't suppose the thread would have been titled "Which Omega?" for a general "Which watch?" request.

I have a sea master pro nice clean dial lovely weight and strap never seen the chrono but would spoil the clean look imo
Chrono wise speedy date (I dont like not having a date for some reason?)
Again very clean and striking I love it!

Certainly looks nice, but I prefer the classic looks of the "regular" Speedy Pro

Speedy Pro is timeless.

The PO looks good but I don't think Orange suits it unless you are actually wearing diving gear, black with orange dials looks good. I don't think orange will date as Doxa have been using it since the 60s in their dive watches.

The Speedie isn't as flashy though, very understated.

My vote too, although I went for the lighter weight and more subdued finish of the titanium version.

Very nice; I think that the white-faced GMT version is also very pleasing:

Nice, I love both of these although the titanium seamasters must be rare as hens teeth you very rarely see them on forums.
