I think that the only watches in the current Speedmaster range that have the date at the bottom and look vaguely like the Professional are the Broad Arrow and Legend models.

Broad Arrow

Legend

The Seamaster Aqua Terra Chrono also has the date at the bottom.

Aqua Terra

Any of those?

The Aqua Terra is closest, but the face and bezel were to all intents and purposes identical to this.

I had to ask what it was as I'd never seen one with a date at the bottom and had it been a more reasonable price I would've bought it on the spot! smile

Dusting this one off.....

I've just seen on another forum http://www.bmwland.co.uk/talker/viewtopic.php?p=79...

It appears the watch I was shown in Geneva was a Speedmaster racing automatic...

It could also have been the (newish) Speedmaster Co-Axial.

That's my Speedy! (and a very nice one it is too). Speedmaster Racing Chronometer, 42mm, crystal glass, carbon face, auto movement with date.

Just to add to the list of Speedmasters that have the date (kinda) at the bottom, the new 44mm titanium Solar Impulse model has the date at 4 o'clock (ish). I tried one the other day and it's so much lighter than mine and looks good in the slightly larger size. £4.4k though.
