I have two Seikos, both Kinetics. The oldest has had to have its bracelet re-pinned (returned to Seiko) and now needs its power capacitor/bettery replacing (common fault on the older ones) as it won't hold charge for more than a day. The newer one is now in need of having its bracelet done... bloody pins seem crap tbh

I have a Pulser quartz that I bought 12 years ago for £55. Keeps good time and the battery life is 2½+ years. Some-one mentioned that the 'glass' on Pulsers is soft. I wear mine whatever I am doing - including working on the car and general DIY. It has been dropped on the garage concrete floor ant least twice. The 'glass' has only one small scratch.

u got time?

Hi, I have 2 seiko's alongside rolex's and omega seamaster pro...... I often wear the seiko's for risky events! and they have both survived the pain, great watches and superb value...... try and get a scuba, SKX 007J very good strong divers watch. The version most available and slightly cheaper is 007K made in Japan, no jewels in the movement. 007J is made in Singapore and has 21 jewels, written in white under the divers 200m (in red) on the lower half of the screen. 007J keeps much better time. Fantastic for under £150. Only available on e-bay though........ not in the UK

I've had one of these for a couple of years and I love it. Not too flash, looks good with anything. Titanium colour looks great too and it's nice and light because of it.

Here are my two vintage Pulsar watches (Circa 1985). I always wanted to buy one as a kid but couldn't save up enough pocket money to afford one.

When these two watches came up for sale a couple of years ago, I couldn't believe my luck.

I purchased them from a Jeweller who had retired and closed down his shop. He had mislaid the two watches in the bottom of a display cabinet for over 20 years! They are both in brand new condition with boxes and paperwork.

What has always fascinated me about them is that the hands are motorised and operate when the bezel is turned. Functions include: Alarm, Stop Watch and Countdown Timer (when the hands operate in reverse).
