Looking for a cheap watch for around £100-150.

It's a gift from my wife for my birthday, but it's quite specific. I realise it's restricted with the price range but we are in the middle of redecorating so funds are a little tight. I could add a little more to the budget, but not much.

The inspiration for the watch is the dashboard clocks below:

Black face with white numbers and orange/red hands. Not really bothered about a date window and not a chronograph. I did have a swatch that had these colours, years ago and thought it looked great. I realise this is a bit of a long shot so i'm not holding my breath, but PH has yet to fail me biggrin Besides if nothing is found i'll get that orange monster i've been promising myself.

Thanks in advance,

FG thumbup

I have bought the missus several nice watches over the years - Cartier, Omega etc.

The watch she wears (and likes the most) is a ladies Citizen Eco Drive in SS with diamond bezel. You can get one (even with diamond sets) for around £150. They are a cracking watch for the money.

This is like the one my missus has:

And you can get other models for less from Buy It Now dealers on ebay.

http://www.dwatch.net/ and customise it. You'll have to wear a balaclava though as the price is a bit more than you want to pay I think.

Diesel make a watch with a face like that. I've got one. I bought it in New York but I'm sure you can get it on ebay.

The diesel watches are promising. I've had a quick look on ebay but i'll have a proper look later.

Thanks for the replies.

I have a Werners that looks very similar to the link above but without a date.

Have to say, some of the suggestions above have been a little confusing. I've just re-read my original post and i think it's the way i have worded it. I'd like to point out that the watch is for me from my wife. Even though the sparkly watches mentioned above are nice, they're just not me wink

I had forgotten about these, yes very close. Think i'll be going with an Orange Monster for the moment, been tugging at me for quite a while now. Can't see a Mondaine being far behind though wink

Thanks
