Oh well. TBH I didn't know that they did not use their own movements etc a'la Rolex proper and that would have bugged me I think. I'll hold out for a 'proper' one I think.

It needs a service!!!

A service! Surely you jest. At the very least it will need a new face but I would be surprised if it didn't need some internals as well since it can't have been touched since the day it was made.

Regarding a new bracelet I have no idea but not cheap!

I think it may have been serviced once, It will probably need a new face, crown, braclet and polish of the glass or replacement.

Its a sentimental thing, I will get a price then make a decision.

Pre saphire crystals are cheap. Itll certainly need a new dial though, or a refinish.

Well Dom H did me proud, new dial and hands, crown with a rolex croc strap. Full service and its now keeping perfect time.

Photos aren't brilliant but the watch is sparkling and my Fathers friends at the wedding were surprised to see the watch again.
