NATO: Woo or Boo?
Discussion
What watches do you think wear well on a NATO strap? Some? None? All?
My entry - a watch for whom I think the bracelet's just a bit weedy (although very well made):
I vote "woo". (and "yay")

BTW, for those who might be wondering "What the feck is Jameson rambling on about now?", a NATO strap is a nylon fabric strap that's specified in Defence Standard 66-47/2. Irrespective of what you think they look like, they're extremely comfortable.

I've got a U-boat style watch on a black Nato that does work well. Works far better than the (thick) leather strap or a cloth strap that I tried it on. Also have a 22mm one on a cheap sports watch with a 20mm lugwidth that makes it seem chunkier. It really depends on the watch.

Obviously called a NATO strap for a reason - worn by the military lot so that if one holding pin goes AWOL (see what I did there), the whole watch doesn't fall off.
I had a simple Seiko divers quartz when I was in the Army with a NATO strap.
Now I'm a civvy, and have been for a while, and not in a situation where it shoiuld be an issue - I don't worry about it.
It's as valid as having a LR Defender for the weekly Waitrose shop if you live in Cheam - However, if you live in the Highlands...
