Speedmaster Help
Discussion
Hi all, I have an Automatic Speedmaster and have just tried to change the day (as I have not worn it for a while) and it only moves the number part way and then clicks it back. Does anyone have any ideas or should I just get it in for a service?
If so does anyone know how much a service would cost?
Cheers

Try moving the hands forward a few hours with the crown at position 2, then back to position 1 for the quick-change date and then see if the date advances. Alternatively, move the crown to position 2 and move the hands forward past twelve o clock until the date wheel clicks over. Not sure which model you have exactly (depending on the model you could have a Lemania base movement, a base ETA2892-A2 or a 7750 base; possibly a 7751 if you have a moonphase) but it might just be that the movement is 'confused' over where in the 24 hour cycle it is and thus whether it will allow the date wheel to turn.
I experienced a similar problem last night moving the date forward on my Fortis B42 chrono (ETA 7750 base movement). I tried to move from 30 to 31 at about 10:30pm and the date wheel would only go half way.
