My old cockpit series stainless steel. Can't even remember when I bought this, must be early 2000s. The case is quite thick but I prefer the smaller face compared to a lot of the more recent models.

Am in Asia for work and just got this for my son-in-law.

He’s a soldier and when home he and my daughter love hiking.

This seems to have GPS to download your treks which you can later sync with a smartphone, knows your position, has altimeter, barometer and more stuff than I know what to do with !

Never played with a G-Shock before but am mighty impressed !

Yeah, that's the problem with most Gshocks I find. You have to either be 15 years old or really well built, Rich Piana (RIP) kind of well built, to be able to pull it off without looking ridiculous.
I disagree. I’m 40 and lanky and I get lots of positive comments on my larger g-shocks. I think all you really need to ask yourself is if you want the watch to be subtle or the main event, for whatever you’re wearing. A couple of mine are subtle, a couple are definitely the main event!

Thanks for that.

Double ouch, I thought my Gulfman was expensive at 400 for a G Shock. 800 for one of those bad boys.

Lovely watch though

I fancy a new G Shock but not sure which one. I have quite small wrists. I wear my 5 year old one and it has got battered. I clean it under the tap with soap and a nail brush and it comes up like new though!

I'm a very big fan of the G-Shock, had a few and always found them able to take a phenomenal beating and still stay looking new. I'm hunting about for a metal one now, as I think they look great.
