Re white G Shocks, I have one of these. Really like it, it's a bluish white.

Quite fancy one of these.

Think I forgot to add this one ... Got it a few months back ... Love it with the smoked translucent jelly strap

Both really nice. I just fancy a square since I sold my GX56, but since I lost weight it just looked ridiculous!

Just pick this up, sub £200! 6Band Radio, Solar and some really cool arm movements when you select each function.

As with my other G-Shocks, just wish it was a bit heavier.

I have the same model but all black apart from turquoise face and metal bracelet, I’ve had it around 8 years and still wear it regularly.
It’s had a very hard life including being covered in paint, hot engine oil, loads of knocks and scrapes and still works perfectly

Does anyone have the all steel G-Shock?

I really fancy one in steel / black / gold, conscious they look rather big / bulky and i haven't seen one in the flesh.

For around £400-500 it looks really good !

ETA@ this one i think;

Yep - I have the black 5000GD, the silver 5000D and my favorite, the black 5000G with positive display and resin strap, modded with a deployment clasp:

I have since got a black IP deployment clasp.

I love these watches - nice size and weight not too heavy, normally I don't like negative displays but the Metal G-Shocks have STN displays and the contrast is much better.

Admittedly I paid quite a bit under list - so I would advise to shop around.

Is the silver one as bling as it appears in most of the photos I see online? It’s the only thing putting me off buying one.

My mrs has asked me what I want for Christmas, so what better time to get my first G Shock?

I don’t want to go over 100-200 quid really, I’d like something with tough solar and multiband 6, but also a positive display..

Found this, okay doesn’t have positive display but hands to tell the time so should be fine, I’ve seen the blue accented model has a +ve display but would rather black:

GAW-100B

Also seen the square with solar and radio... not 100% sold on that one although I do often wear a F91-W as it’s so comfortable, maybe a nice upgrade...

Any of you guys better versed on G Shocks know of anything else that fits the bill? I can’t seem to find much else! There are loads of G’s that I have an irrational want for, but I’m after a weekday daily for work and like the idea of no battery changing etc.

Cheers

I'm very pleased to have found one of these:

I've fitted a chrome deployment clasp for ease of putting on and off - and it looks great imo.

What does the Bluetooth function do?

The bluetooth connects the watch to an app on your smartphone, where you can set up the watch, set alarms, world time, pair the two so you can flag a beep from your watch to your phone of you mislay your phone etc etc.

When I picked up my Kobe square above - I was tempted - and succumbed - to this:

I really have to have a break from adding any more squares. So I'll keep this image on my desktop to remind me of the options:
