GW-B5600 arrived today. I've not been a fan of 5600 negative displays in the past but for some reason this one is okay. £55 for a solar, atomic, bluetooth gshock is a bargain.
Argos?
Yep. Amazon out of stock until 20th so had to pay delivery but still a great price..

Argos out of stock frown I bet it's full price when it's back in.

Looks that way, glad I picked one up when I did. Amazon say new stock on 20th May but may be back at full price.

New one today, DW-5600TMN-1DR. Japanese good luck charm version. Got a daft little lucky cat (maneki neko) on the backlight.

That's pretty cool. Are these limited editions?

Yes, but no idea how limited. There is a 1JR version that is presumably more limited (Japan market model) and this is the 1DR (I think SE Asia/export) so presumably more common.

That does look good thumbup

I'm considering getting the polished/brushed steel case as I already have two black resin 5xxx Gs, we'll see though.

I did consider the Silver set but I think the blue mirror needs the black to set it off. In my opinion, would look a bit strange with blue and silver.

Why not swap out one of the others to silver and the blue to black?

There's a polished case mod in this thread, it's all subjective of course however I think it looks pretty cool - https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.php?471549-Head...

Other parts are available from such places as tiktox.com and I'm not ruling out using rit dye to modify a resin case/strap combo though I haven't investigated that route yet.

Looks great!

Any chance you could post a link to where you bought the mod parts please?

I picked up the same with the same idea (maybe silver) but can’t see any bezel kits with the g shock engraving, only plain.

Cheers,

They all have the branding but just blank it out on the pics for copyright.

I got mine here:

Cant decide which one to wear.
I'm trying to decide between the orange strap and the olive for a mudmaster.

Orange on a watch strap ....does it say midlife crisis?

It will be worn outdoors both at work and hobbies.

I asked this a shirt while ago about the 'Casioak'. Are the metal cases for them branded too?

Anyone planning on picking up the new smart watch at end of the month?

On paper it does everything I need, GPS, Solar, can take rough dusty work environments, world clock. I'm worried it will just be a bit flaky. Unless its seemless and connects well I won't be interested. Its a straight choice between this and iwatch with a chunky protective case.

Scottish watches are doing a review on this model, they’ve mentioned it on their podcast, also Maverick on YouTube. My Protrek I imagine uses similar software and that’s been fine

I find smart watches have an finite lifespan whereas Gshocks appeal to me more. Well the concept does.

I'm incredibly tempted. Was going to buy one at the beginning of the month but the launch was delayed and i spent my money on a sub instead (woofer, not watch!)
I am really interested in it as it has some functions that I really like and would be a benefit to my training.
Would be very interested to hear how you get on with it if you go for it

This review is pretty comprehensive but doesn't help my decision!
