Anyone manage to bag a Casio x John Mayer x Hodinkee G-shock ?

https://limited.hodinkee.com/g-shock/

They sold out in about 10mins but I managed to nab one. Was annoyed to miss out on the Bamford one a couple of months ago.

We considered the Sistem51 1990 Swatch but I wasn't fussed on the green, it's my least favourite of the Swatch colabs they have done actually.

This G-Shock is ideal though. Really like the colours.

Has anybody converted to a NATO strap?

I have the GW-B5600HR-1ER (https://g-shock.co.uk/gw-b5600hr-1er) and have stupidly thin wrists so only have 3 links on one side and 2 on the other on the resin strap and think a NATO will probably be more comfortable. The photos of the adapter lugs you need to attach just look a bit awkward on all the pictures I have looked at though. (https://vario.sg/collections/nato-g-shock).

I’ve put the adapters on a few casios. I think they will work better on smaller wrists as the angle they sit at meant the watch alway wanted to rotate on my 8” wrist.

They’re only a couple of quid for non branded, on my 5610 it too a bit of grunting to get the spring bars in. If you get a strap with them check the size, I’ve had them delivered with 24mm and 22mm (24 is the right size but can look a bit too wide).

Just got a new strap in to mix up the G-Shock. £8.08 incl VAT from Aliexpress, took around 2weeks. Colour is a dull red, not bright like a factory G strap, Suits the all black well.

Bit of a move around here for me... decided (well finances did) that the 8900DGK and matching skateboard deck have to go cry

On the flip side I picked this up locally at the weekend but now I’m doubting myself that it’s big enough for my massive wrists:

So if anyone has any advice on cleaning a white G I’d be very grateful!

Hi halfpenny,

Just wondering if you would mind giving a long term update/mini review on the gbd h1000?

I'm considering getting one but I'm just wondering if they have made any improvements via software updates or if there is anything major I should be aware of before purchasing?

Thanks in advance.
I sent mine back after 6 months as the app is awful. It drags down what could be a decent watch. Its also not intuitive to use
