It's Google WearOS this time so fingers crossed it's actually good.
Hope so. I was gutted last time.

I'm currently on Garmin Instinct

Supposedly a 1 month battery life in low power mode using the monochrome display.

Garmin Instinct Solar are hard to beat for a 'casio G Shock type' smart watch, and about half the £600 price tag.

Not mine (cousin's) but worth sharing, these V3s are looking so good!

What watch is this, can you buy it at the moment? Like the look of it!

It’s come to my attention that Casio are about to release a proper smart watch finally. I don’t think I’ll be able to resist.
The Protrek smart watches have been using Google Wear for the last few years, looks like the g shock version is a repackaged f21hr with increased water/shock resistance (and more than double the price of the F21HR).

Big miss not having solar but that might be to do with the dual layer screen.

The battery life is consistent with what I get from my F20.

Agree on missing solar charging ability.
One reason I like my GBD-H1000 is that after a run I can take it off and leave it on a windowsill and let it charge back up, even with GPS and heart rate monitor running for 3-4 hours out on a hike or a run. I get out 4 times a week at least, and have not charged it in at least 3 months.

Am certainly interested in the new GSW-H1000 though.
Hope they update the G-Shock app as part of the release !

Inspired by pinching my wife's I.C.E.R.C. (GW-5600-KJ-2) for the day - and 12 years since I got my own GW-M5600BC - I was inspired to swap the composite bracelet off my own watch for a fresh strap & bezel - and to finally order a GW-5000 from Seiya. Excited about that one, although the purchase was mostly prompted by my failing eyesight not really getting on with the negative display these days. Would love to see a 5x00 with the new MIP display (as seen on the GBX-100). Surely only a matter of time.

The ICERC wears a little chunkier than the GWM; never really noticed before - but I like it.

It's a Casio GA2100 with a V3 AP mod kit, comprising of case cover, strap and deployant buckle.

Thanks, no idea what most of that means but I will use Google.

Haha!

The watch starts off as a Casio GA2100 then you buy a V3 modification kit from AliExpress. If you Google GA2100 on AliExpress all the modification Kits will come up. GA2100 you can get locally from any UK online store.

Looks like I can get that look for about £130, pretty cool! Might order the bits and have a go!

Ive just had this land and it's great, the NATO strap really bulks the watch so it doesn't feel small like my old 5620 did.

I'm back looking at G's again (seems to be a quarterly phase!) and this time I fancy a GA-710B-1A4.

Anyone who has one care to share any feedback please?

Also there a couple of outlets which appear on google with a price that's too good to be true... anyone heard of Tecobuy or Ultra Online UK?!?
