The new Mudmasters have been released.

Given the old ones were around £325 direct from Casio the new ones are sadly priced at £699!

Here’s my metal square four; the latest being the titanium 5000 TB that turned up today (just sized but not set up and synched yet - collar and pin bracelet on this as opposed to the springbars on the three steel ones). Guess I’m a fan of a square deal biggrin

GW6900 arrived via Amazon US yesterday. Managed to get a partial refund due to damaged packaging bringing it down to under £70. No idea why Casio choose to stick this model in such a basic cardboard box.

I really fancy the new Mudmaster and being able to use bluelight discount may just swing it for me! I wasn't aware there was a discount available, my own fault for not looking

what is the reason that the new mudmaster is over double the old mudmaster price?

I can't see any good reason why.

The last Frogman retailed for over £1000 so...it seems the pricing is getting slightly out of hand.

Because carbon, and because they can, isn't it?

But is it carbon? Site says it's "carbon integrated", which sounds like its basically still resin.

It’s tiny carbon bits in resin, pressed into a mould, yes. My oblique point (so oblique I didn’t even get close to making it) was that they can give it the marketing blurb of carbon is Stronger! Lighter!! Uncontrolled patterns it makes are unique to each watch!!! and add £££ to the rrp. It isn’t worth the uplift from the old model for me, but I’m cheap smile

i pressed loads of buttons and it went to the correct time. i'm sure there are guides out there, but it is the most difficult watch to actually use.

1 out of 3 automatically corrected for clocks going back. 1 changed when I set it to auto. 1 did no change when set to auto, I had to set it to DST off; don’t see why the auto didn’t work on that one.
