Duh, totally missed that earlier post. I suspect that ship has sailed, still a very nice deal smile

Even without the extra 10%, it's still a great deal - you'll be impressed with the watch. I'd be amazed if you weren't.

Hefty isn't it! Must be about twice the weight of the carbon fibre/titanium/jelly resin one on the right if not more so:

It does have quite a heft to it. £500 would be a bit of a difficult number to justify but think £200 was a bit of a bargain and it is a lovely thing.

How many of these have we bought over the past week by the way smile

Agreed,it's good at that price for sure. I think the most I've spent on a G was a Gulfmaster which was about £260 I think (also heavily discounted).

Just ordered the G-Shock ga 2100 that's black with the blue/purple hands for £70 from watchshop.

To go with my all black, red and skeleton versions

To all that have the red metal G. Are your black bars which joint the bracelet to the watch loose?

Can’t work out if a design or if mine need tightening? Cant try and tighten easily at moment as im out but a bit concerned it may fall off

Yep, all 4 of mine twist.

If you hold one in place and try to turn the opposite, it won't turn. Decorative, then.

Normally I don't wear any of my watches for more than a day or two at a time but I've hardly taken off this Rangeman since I got it 3 weeks ago.

It is a lovely thing but yes i agree full price would be a stretch.

The only other issue i have is that i am onsite today so not wearing the watch in case i damage or scratch it which kind of goes against the G-Shock ethos.

Does anyone know how scratch resistant the red is as i presume it is plated.
I have a blue one and they do scratch unfortunately.

I thought as much. It does seem strange having a G-Shock i need to take care of!

But it is a lovely thing.

Looks great. Can't believe I haven't got one yet. As soon as they were released I thought I'd have one as soon as the inevitable blacked-out one was released. Not sure what's stopping me.

I said to myself no more G's but I just had to have this as I love the changeable display so I can have the time display in huge characters. Perfect for my old eyes!

Love that. One just happened to fall into my online shopping basket in the weekend when I was buying my Mudmaster.
Should be delivered tomorrow !

Mrs Cjelli and I had been struggling to work out what to buy our 16 year old son for Christmas.

As an impulse buy on Black Friday, we picked up a g shock GA-2100-1A1ER with 30% off for him. Not his only present.

Now I’m concerned he is going to turn his nose up at it. He’s a brand obsessed teenager, and he won’t appreciate the g shock cachet. We’ve looked in the windows of watch shops and he is aware of all the big names.

In teen friendly terms, give me a sales pitch I can give him to try and minimise his, and subsequently, our disappointment.

Tell him his present is under the nearside front wheel of your car.
