Yep, it’s not intuitive to read messages (I just use for the vibrate or beep), but really happy.

Unfortunately, all the new "smart" model chips don't do it. Think that's the GBD and GBX models, and possible some of the square variants (with the new dark clear screen).

Picked this one up today. I haven’t seen it in daylight yet, but it’s not one you’d buy for clarity of the dial. First impressions are good, there’s a decent heft about it.

That was a good deal! This is exactly what I’m looking for to use when I’m out on the bike etc, but they seem to be well over £100 wherever I look at the moment. I’m not bothered about the ‘smart’ functionality, I just prefer the look of the square/rectangular versions of G Shocks in comparison to the round ones.

either a classic Shape Square or a Baby-G.

This has been my goto G for when I want something small.

looks good, might see if they do a bright one, my daughter wants one as has no interest in a smart watch and want one like mine, shes 8

I think at age 8, even smallest G, will look huge! If you can, go to a watch store and try them out. Personally, I think you need to get child fitment watch, or something that is 32mm and Under.
