After a few months of procrastination, I finally bit the bullet and bought a green metal Casioak… and it doesn’t disappoint!
The way the face catches the light is fabulous.
It feels (and looks) tiny compared to my work G-Shock (covered in paint, render, tile adhesive and general grime) and my weekend lump of a Panerai (at the menders, again).
Relative bargain at €175.

Tried this on yesterday. Not a great pic, just a quick snap in the store. Really liked it!
Anyone got one?
I prefer the current ‘limited’ edition 40th anniversary circuit board but still have trouble with the price when the module is the same and Aliexpress will do you a titanium case and strap for sub £200 delivered and tax paid.
I’ve got the earlier version. On the face of it the price does seem a bit bonkers but the fit and finish is excellent. Not just excellent for a G-Shock but in comparison to mechanical watches at that price. I purchased it on a whim and thought I’d probably flip it quite quickly but it’s become one of my favourite watches. The finish seems pretty tough too.

I’m tempted but £1.5k is salty for a case and strap.

I know what you mean. This was about a third off, just over a grand. Seemed quite justifiable to me at that price!I prefer the current ‘limited’ edition 40th anniversary circuit board but still have trouble with the price when the module is the same and Aliexpress will do you a titanium case and strap for sub £200 delivered and tax paid.

Really tempted by one of those. Also love the GMW-B5000TVB-1ERtrickywoo said:

Was that in a g shock outlet? Still lots for a g but it makes a lot more sense.
It was the G Shock store on Carnaby Street. benny.c said:

It’s odd that you can’t use the standard 10% discount code for it online but they’ll knock a much bigger chunk off in store. T1berious said:

I'm after a G Shock and figured this would be the best place to ask for advice.
The staggering array of G-Shocks makes choosing one pretty daunting! I'm currently getting back into the gym and use a Fenix 5, its on the way out, its dropping power and its now dying between activities.
Think it died 70% through my swim.
Any suggestions?
I don't really want a "smart" watch for notifications but it would be nice to have something that tracks activities and steps, anyone here use a G-Squad?
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Cheers T1b

I have one of these. Got it from Jura I think for 69 quid or something which is ridiculous value for money. Screen is great and it tracks steps. You’d have to watch a YT video or something for the full features as I haven't really even scratched the surface but I’d certainly recommend one.
My GBD-800 doesn't, so I don't wear it for work.
I'm going to be a bus wker soon so would like another G-Shock (any excuse, right?) to keep track of my steps, which will hopefully use the same app.
I recently acquired a GA-B2100-1A1ER (Bluetooth Casioak) but not getting on too well with the strap - it's either a bit tight or a bit loose
Can anyone recommend some strap adaptors to put a sail cloth replacement on? - I have seen 'Jays and Kays' mentioned but they no longer seem to supply to the UK
