Nazi admin on TZ...

OK, well not really Nazi. But they've put a block on my account so every post I make has to be approved by a moderator because I disagreed with a "joke" an admin posted.
In my opinion (and others on the thread) it was not funny, and ever so slightly racist. I made two posts which were deleted and one which remains protesting. The only reason I can think of for them being deleted is that they were far to close to the mark and the OP (who is an admin) did not want to enage in a debate to back up his position. Hardly the behaviour you would expect from someone who is an Admin on a well respected forum.
Now every post I make on TZ is moderated. What a childish thing to do.

Maybe you don't think it's racist, maybe you do. I happen to think it is, and have effectively been blocked from posting on the entire forum because I wished to express this view. Are they really that far up their own arses?

TBH, it wasn't that bad. Not even worth posting, but one of those things that relies on a prejudice that black skinned people are somehow inferior. If it was funny, he probably would have got away with it. However it wasn't, and someone did get very offended (not me!) and was shot down when they tried to explain by the grammar police. My point I feel was valid, and was deleted. Well, you can see what I said in the PM conversation, make your own mind up.Post it up so that we can all judge it for ourselves.

Looking at the thread I'd say there were only 2-3 people who thought either wasnt funny/was racist (although going from your experience maybe all the others have been deleted!).Anyway, I'll not get involved with that - I would agree that there wasnt need to delete your posts on the thread, and agree that it is a bit over moderated. I've got a few posts over there, mainly from when I was looking to buy a watch and wanted to be able to post in the Sales Corner. I got PM's from about 10 people when asking for advice and had a 'Wanted' advert up and 9 of them seemed genuinely helpful/nice poeple; especially the one guy who found a watch for me. I do think one guy may have tried to con me slightly, but not sure if that was intentional or not.
Still, that thread did become slightly more amusing when the poor insults and 'grammer' came out.
Yeah, unfortunately it is a great resource with some very helpful and knowledgable people, ruined by a megalomaniac of an admin. I've been looking at some of the stuff he's posted, and he really does seem like an odd fellow.
Still, already been on another very good watch forum for longer, their admin was so good I bought one of their watches!
