Anyone have experience with these guys? Been waiting almost six weeks for my wife's very-overdue birthday present (a lovely Oris Big Crown Pointer Date) and still no sign. They only communcate when I chase them, and after this long waiting I'd expect them to keep me updated! I'll cancel if anyone can recommend another dealer. Not happy!

Haven't bought from them but visited the shop in London and whilst they were friendly enough I just felt that they were geezers - if you know what I mean.

Why not take a trip down your high st and find the Oris AD?

Sorry to hear you're having problems.

I assume your complaining about the lack of communication? I'm guessing the delay is due to Oris being slow in supplying the watch rather than Jura? No excuse for bad communiucations though

I've bought a couple of watches (Anonimo) from them in the past and they've always been very helpful, so I'm supirised.

I've never had any problems but as above I have always been to the shop. Can you get there? Its really central in London if you can.

Other than that, another option would be to cancel and try goldsmiths or soemthing, I think goldsmiths had a huge sale on Oris if you go via their website.

Yes, you are right in that it's teh lack of communication I'm disappointed with. They have said they're still waiting on the delivery from Oris in the past, but only when I chased a week after the due delivery date (about a month ago) and because I wasn't aware that Oris themselves could be so slow, was concerned that I might have been scammed. They called me back tonight to say they should receive it tomorrow, so have promised to update me then. I'll update this thread again, as it does seem that the delay is no fault of Jura (who are always very pleasant!).

I dealt with Patrick at Jura back in June when I bought my Glycine Lagunare. Although he was a bit sales-y (and I'm in sales so that's not an insult directed at him) he was very good to deal with. When I struggled to unscrew the bars to change the strap, I called and he offered to send me a spare tool they had (basically a weighty metal cylinder with a flathead screw bit mounted in it so that you can secure one screwhead while undoing the other screw) and it arrived in the post next day.

Another update... Had a call from the manager this morning to say the watch has arrived and will be with me tomorrow! Lots of apologies, and as compensation they're throwing in a year's insurance and a winder. She must have been following this thread! hehe

I think they are offering a winder or insurance with all new purchases now anyway but still nice of them to offer !

They do, but not normally a years insurance and a watch winder.

Coincidently I had an email from them this morning to say that the strap I had ordered for my Glycine will be delayed.
No big deal as long as it eventually arrives I guess.

Watch arrived yesterday, as promised, and my wife loves it, as hoped! It's a beautiful watch, though she can't wear it yet as I got the wrist measurements wrong, having measured her swollen wrist whilst she was sleeping and heavily pregnant on the hottest day of the year! Doh!

Fair play to them, despite messing you about for a bit, they've realised it was an issue and made a reasonable effort to recompense you.
Probably doesn't save you the grief from the wife, but better than just sending the watch out and blaming the manufacturer.
