Had a look at them and just seen the new range of titanic ones...

and saw some of the others:

watch porn or is it just me?

does anyone make a 'cheaper' (not fake) version of this that looks just as good and just as quirky?

Or am I mad?

What sort of level are they priced at ?

I'm of the opinion a tourbillion only suits a dress watch. The watch should be about the tourbillion, nothing else should distract from it.

Ok, it is without doubt the most pointless, ugly POS I've ever, frickin, laid my eyes upon!

The bezel looks like a freeze dried dog turd ffs!

Deeply, nastily repulsive tat, those. I can see sitting in some restaurant and being asked about the monster, and casually remarking that I am wearing bits of the Titanic for amusement. Wonder if they could do bone fragments as extras?

Whilst use of a grave in a watch is somewhat questionable (as well as making a watch that deliberately falls apart.... and another double tourbillion that doesn't have any hands), the space DNA watch I saw in Copenhagen, and it actually looked pretty good in the flesh.

Definitely one for the oligarchs, along with gold taps and chromed Bentleys.

The titanic is an awful thing, can't think why anyone would want something with the association.

When I first saw/heard about the watch it seems that the case is made from a salvaged piece of the hull. Turns out that whilst strictly this is true, a tiny piece of the hull has been smelted with other metal and it is this that is then used to form the watch case. So the oxidation of the case is a bit of a fraud and (if you were into that kind of thing) you could actually point to any single piece of the watch that was made from the hull.

IMO, when you have to market like this to get a niche it is a sure sign that there are enough watch designs in the world!

Indeed... I wonder... is the leather made out of Jamie Bulger's skin?

I'm with the haters. Poor designs that use novelty to create an impact. Utter pish.

Putting the Titanic issue aside for a moment - the last 2 pictures are quite interesting. The 'Fred Flintstone' look of the 2nd from last looks unique and seems to be open and belt driven, which is interesting. The bottom picture is actually an interesting dial design - quite cool looking in a 'curiosity' way. I'd never buy either though, not in a million years - but I'd probably have a close look if I saw one on display.

The titanic ones are horrible though. Both in design and concept.

I guess if you can afford it you have it just for the hell, but money and taste very often don't sit too well together. May I enquire what the bezel of the first watch is made of? I know what it looks like but I hope it doesn't smell like it.
