I know its wrong but I am sooo liking this - I normally don't like skeltons - but the contrast between the chunky case and the delicacy of movement I really like.

Please don't let this descend into a 'fake hommage' arguement

I really like that. It will be cheapish - why not go for it?

If you fettle with it a bit you might just be able to hook it up to;

as some sort of primitive Chinese trigger mechanism.

I think this would be the only sensible use for such an item.

It looks really ugly and it's got a copied Panerai case.

It's very similar to the Stowa Marine Original, but I'm not sure if that was the first watch like it?

If you're going to pull the trigger, have a look here too :

http://www.siswatch727.com/index.do

Basically you can ignore the watches on sale and email them what you want from the bits they sell individually and they'll give you a price.

I (God I'll get flamed for this) ordered a Stealth 'Homage', but with a sterile dial, this morning.

Just remember if you're a serial flipper, you'll never be able to sell it online. A certain Italian watch manufacturer is getting very keen on these dopplegangers at the mo.

PICTURE OF NASTY LOOKING WATCH

is this also a copy of something?

Take a look at the Stowa as posted above (£900ish)
Dornbluth 99.1 (£3-4kish)
Then try the IWC FA Jones (£6k)
Then the Lange 1815 (£8kish)

Then try any number of others. The pick is the Lange or a Heyne.

Perhaps we need a new forum just for fake watches, then all the fans of those can talk about them to their hearts content without annoying those who prefer the real deal.

You will probably find that it looks amazingly nasty in real life. Skeleton watches usually look far better in photo's anyway, but that looks like one of the cheap nasty chinese movements you find in novelty clocks.

I asked if this was a copy - not 'looks a bit like' - otherwise you would class the GO Panamatics as copies of Lange datagraphs - fakers

There really have been some snobby comments - how can you hope to compare quality between a £900 stowa and a £50-60 Chinese model let alone a Lange. Of course they are not going to be remotely comparable, my comments were about the design of the watch not its finish or quality.

As I would like soemthing like this for once in a very while dress watch i'm not going to spend hundreds/thousands on one.

if anyone can recommend an alternative I would be greatful (p.s. must be +42mm) - so that rules out even second hand Stowa's

On christ, for once i was trying to be helpful... to show you the origins of the design.
