Chopard watches
Discussion
They are beautifully finished watches, even if over the years the Mille Miglia has got bigger and slightly more vulgar (just a tad though, and within acceptable limits).
They've also got a deserved reputation as a proper watchmaker with their L.U.C in-house movements, but the Mille Miglia et. al "just" have an ETA 2894, although I think that they might be C.O.S.C certified.
I think that there are certainly worse things that you could spend your money on.

Well I just love my Chopard even more now!!!I have a Mille Miglia XL GT power Control and absolutely love it. It is the biggest watch I have but on the rubber strap the most comfortable one I wear. The inverted cyclops works a treat on the date too. The movement is a huge valgranges and a noisy bugger too which to me makes me feel kinda connected to the watch - when I change gear you can hear the watch charging up - what Pistonhead isn't gonna love that!
Get yourself the watch then build an adventure around it - that's what we are doing as it has led us down a route where we are off To Brescia in May to watch the Mille Miglia then back to Italy in July to drive the 1000 mile route.
So treat yourself, buy into the hype and let it give you a reason to drive Italy!
