Yes, I know it's not that special compared to a lot, but just bought myself an Omega Seamaster Professional Automatic and I can't wait for it to arrive!

I thought today about buying myself a new watch and then suddenly I'd found one, enquired about it and agreed (a very good!) price.
hehe

That is all! smile

Congratulations. Many on here are big fans. There is another similar thread running here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Good choice, BTW.

I saw that and did have a good read. The pic the OP put in his first post is what I have bought.

Thanks chaps, as I said, can't wait! smile

Another Seamaster owner here! thumbup

I've had mine for a few years now and apart from a few early niggles with accuracy, it's been perfect. Although annoyingly I've managed to scratch the bezel in the last couple of weeks, so I'm tempted to buy myself something new!

I'm sure you'll enjoy owning it Luke, mine recieves quite a few compliments.

Doesn't matter if it's not "that" special. Only matters if it's THAT special to you! Congrats!

They are great watches. They are pretty special, they may be common, but there is a reason why nearly all of us watch buffs own at least one! biggrin

I'm quite tempted by another strap, just as something different to the bracelet. smile
Not sure what though....

How much is the rubber strap? And is it easy to fit?

Anyone know if it would fit a SMP Chrono?

The rubber strap will set you back around £100 possibly more (if i remember correctly) the clasp which is extra can hit close to £200! It's such a shame as I would love to put my Seamaster on this strap but it's just too much money!

Just Google'd - 330GBP or so seems to be about right for the strap and clasp! Ouch. Looks nice though.

Can get the rubber strap in blue also. Plus a variety of styles (at least 3).

Something to ponder.

Does anyone know if it's a doddle to change?
