Hi All

I saw this watch in the flesh yesterday, and really liked it. The under-glass bezel is a very tidy touch.

Unusual, elegant and rated to 300m. It seems like an interesting alternative to the Omega Seamaster, but I'd be interested to hear what you lot have to say about it.

But it's OK. I have read of the legendary up its own bottom-ness of that site. As I live in Brightest Africa, I wouldn't be buying anything there anyway.

Thanks all the same.

Looks very much like a JLC - can't think which one off the top of my head.

looks like a nice clean design though.

A really nice piece - you can get it with and without a date window.

I think it looks like a JLC Amvox/Memovox (glad someone else thinks the same^^^^)

Toss up between this and an Oris Big Crown Hunter special for my next piece I think.

For what it's worth...I love them. I have one of the JLC's you mention, an original Polaris bought many years ago, but it's the Longines that I've always lusted after. This re-edition is perhaps the most faithful I have seen. Damn comfortable to wear with that synthetic strap as well. A lovely, lovely watch.

Memovox? (on the right)

As for the Legend - it looks like an honest watch from a decent maker - if you like it, go for it.

I have a hankering for a Longines and I keep thinking that they are a sleeping giant within the Swatch group- just waiting to "happen" once more. that is a lovely elegant watch and I like it a lot!

Universal Geneve did a very similar looking watch too...
