Question for those in the know.......... I've been offered an Omega Speedmaster Pro "Moonwatch" (model ref: 3570.50.00) by a good mate of mine. He wants £1200 for it, as he now has a new Tag "Gulf" Monaco. He purchased the Moonwatch in Jan 2009 and its in lovely condition with all the box/papers/warranty cards present. Only problem is a slight scratch to the face of the hesalite glass.

So
1) how easy is it to polish such a scratch out?
2) what would Omega charge for a replacement hesalite glass? could this be done as part of a service?
3) is £1200 a fair price given the age and condition.

Watch will only be for ocassional wearing as I have a Seamaster as a daily beater smile

1: Easy as long as it is not too deep, get a tube of 'Polywatch'
2: Don't know how much but it is doubtful it will need replacing?
3: I would say that was a very good price.

I love mine although I use it sparingly.

What he said.

Very fair price for a nearly new watch. I'll have it if you don't.

Thanks for the replies. As I thought the price is good given the age and condition. Think I'm going to get the watch I've been after for a long long while smile
