I take your point, and agree too. I still like a fair few of them though. BG junior likes his, good cheap yet grown up proper watch for a boy.

You can't dislike all of them on the website? Well, I suppose you could dislike flieger-style watches as well as classical looking watches on top of the crazy divers' watches...
I can, really I can. Horrible derivative mish-mashes of every other design under the sun, or horrendously overdone. For me, the watch equivalent of a Harley Davidson belt buckle or a Zippo lighter with a Jack Daniels logo on it. There we are, I've said it.

OK, maybe I like one - the one that RacingPete bought last year. Not because he wears it but because it is a nice watch. The rest though, or at least all of the ones that I've seen on the site, not for me yuck. Sorry about that...
F*@king hilarious! I love it. Stay true to your guns. I would agree that most of them are way over the top and rip offs of lots of other better watches...but for the money, probably not that bad if you find one that you like.

Bought This Year: Sinn EZM1 LE 37/250
Sold This Year: None
Most worn: Rolex Explorer II white face, the Sinn's getting time now though, on a NATO/Gasgasbones which suits it very well.
Lusting After: Oh gawd, probably a South African Air Force Lemania but it won't be cheap. Also thinking of bespoking a Tutima.
Must Own in 2010: M5 (1965) Bulova Accutron Spaceview (damn your eyes CF), Lator vintage chronograph, a JLC for either me or my good lady wife, Reverso stylee and a Stowa Antea Klien Sekunde still tugs at my sleeve. A vintage Blancpain FF is gaining interest as well. I'll stop now. Oh and to partially restore my old Seiko Sport 100 from 1983, the first quartz chrono. Now I'll stop.
Favourite Design (Manufacturer or specific Model): I have to be predictable and say Sinn as far as utilitarian design goes. Urwerk for when I'm fantasising about oligarchness and JLC for the internals.
Least Favourite Design (Manfacturer or specific Model): Anything gaudy.

Some really interesting selections on this thread - hope you all get to where you want to be in 2010 for the pics alone!

Sadly, some of the people I meet who have no love of watches but have bought just to show they can afford a Rolex when a Seiko would really have done. They are just showing off their purchasing ability and have the personality to go with it. Nothing against the watches at all - own movement, great watches; just some of the people who wear them.

A first post on this forum...

Bought This Year: Seiko Black Monster, Casio Mudman, Stowa Marine Original Matt (received yesterday). These purchases are all your fault...
Sold This Year: Breitling Windrider Shadow Flyback, to fund the Stowa...
Most worn: Monster
Lusting After: IWC Portugese 7 day Reserve but the Stowa gives me a similar look with a white face and blue hands and so I am not sure any more.
Must Own in 2010: Sinn 856s, Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean. Again all your fault...
Favourite Design (Manfacturer or specific Model): IWC Portugese / Stowa MO
Least Favourite Design (Manfacturer or specific Model): Anything with diamonds on. I'm not a fan of Franck Muller or other manufactureres where they have gone 'arty' with the design.
