Got a Sinn 556 incoming.
First dibs if you flip it.ETA: just got it. Bit smaller than I'm used to. Been wearing G-shocks, Tauchmeisters and Panerai-a-likes for months. The design is superb, though. Will make do until I buy an IWC XVI.
ETA2: well, it was 2 hours before I gave in and tried it on a Nato.

You know... every time I check the time, I pause and think, "Mmmmm!"
BTW using a Nato means I don't wear out the leather strap for you.

If Dornbleuth ever make an "everyday" watch, waterproof and one that can take knocks, I'm going to sell my soul for one. I have their catalogue in front of me as I write, and to me they are the dog's whatnots. If the OP wants a "different" watch, one that he will always be proud of but one he could sell at the drop of a hat, that for me would be the make for me if it wasn't going to go under the bonnet, get the wood in, and suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous daily life. If I was still running my business it is what I would wear to the office every day. It's like my Spitfire. Only people who know watches talk quietly to me about it, and that to me counts. Only people here know exactly what I mean by that.

Bought This Year: Another (brand new this time) Damasko DC67
Lovely, well done. I vote that you've had the best year so far. Pictures of the new purchase? The new DC67 should be on it's way & hopefully with me next week, but here's a pic of my previous one, with his "brothers" in the interim.
Of the 3 Damasko's pictured, I still have the 57, but sold the 37 & 67 to fund the GO Sport Evo.
I never cancelled the order I placed yonks ago with Damasko for a 67, but never really thought it would be filled. The one I sold was # 15 - a 2007 watch. The new one is # 28. Talk about rare!

Pretty poor watch year for me...
My favourite Speedmaster Pro is broken, awaiting an expensive service/repair. I also managed to destroy a 1978 Rolex Submariner, to the point where it looks like I'm going to claim on my house insurance for the damage.
I did buy the above Sub and a G-Shock Riseman though, which I suppose is positive.

Cool - from what I've read some of those orders go back to 2007!
Well, nothing easy was worth having I suppose - have you seen what Damasko are doing vis-a-vis their in-house movements and 'nano' tech? Very interesting.
Nano tech, sounds a bit geeky to me ! got a link? been off watches for a while, an idiot over on TZ [who shall remain nameless ] put me off the scene for a while, the offer of the 67 was too good to resist tho Well, nothing easy was worth having I suppose - have you seen what Damasko are doing vis-a-vis their in-house movements and 'nano' tech? "Damasko is currently applying for a new patent. Damasko has developed a new production technique to produce hairsprings.
After three years of development the “Epi-Poly -Silicon” (EPS®) is ready for serial production.
It is a poly crystalline silicone which is for the first time produced as a layer out of vapour deposition (Please do not ask me for technical details, I already had difficulties to translate all that stuff).
Due to the vapour deposition it is possible to create crystals in nanometer size which makes that material a perfect substance for mechanical applications.
The in-house movement A 35 which is developed by Damasko will not only be fitted with an EPS® hairspring. The escapement wheel, lever and double roller will be made out of the new material.
It will still need some month to present the A 35 to the public. The A 35 will also feature a complete new and patented winding mechanism. Heart of that new mechanism is a 4-spot-hybride-bearing. This and the rotor bearing will be lubricant free due to the chosen material mix of steel barrel band and bearing balls made out of a ceramic material.
Almost 3 Million Euro have been invested to achieve the stage Damasko has achieved as of today. Most of the money went into the machinery.
From now on pallets, wheels, pinions, barrels, rotors, bearings, balances, escapements will be produced in-house.
Furthermore surface treatments like decorative engravings, spotting(s) and galvanic processes will be executed in-house."
Sorry for the O/T diversion....
