On the same lines as the other thread, but I have a budget of £150.

I have looked at quite a few watches and quite like a couple if Rotary and Accurist watches.

I don't really want a watch with a face wider than 40-41mm.

Any ideas??

Argos do both of those brands for a lot less than your budget. However, I'm not sure I'd buy either; I had an Accurist some years ago and the quality was very poor. Similarly, a friend bought a Rotary recently and it stopped working within a week. He took it back and the replacement barely lasted 24hours. He now has a Tissot PRC200 (as have I), which has proved faultless. You should be able to get a Tissot around your budget?

As an alternative, I bought a cheap (£60) Animal cyclone yesterday and was very tempted to buy an Animal Twister - big chunky square watch, black leather strap and an automatic movement with display back and sapphire crystal glass. A very nice looking watch for £150. I'd have bought it if not for the fact that I was purchasing as a work watch and £150 is too much for a watch that will doubtless get destroyed.

What is the watch going to be used for?? With the info given, I would look at one brand in the budget and that is Seiko, especially the 007 and 009 should be pretty much within budget brand new

If the size is important, then the SKX031 and SXK033 are the baby brothers of these two watches.

It would be for general use but it wouldn't be knocked around. Another thing I should have said was I'd like it to have a bracelet and not a strap if possible. I have a classic-poking acitizen just now and would like something a bit more modern. Thanks for the suggestions so far!

If it needs to be on a bracelet, and will be worn everyday, then I strongly recommend the Seiko then - rltwatches.co.uk have some in stock at the moment
