I believe it is the depth rating that differs between each watch ... The Submariners are rated to 300metres, the Sea Dweller is 1220metres and the Deep Sea is 3900metres! The Sea Dweller is slightly larger than the Submariner, as the sapphire crystal is 4mm thicker. The Sea Dweller displays the date, but due to the additional thickness does not include the Cyclops lens smile

Plus the SD and DS have Helium escape valves (an alternative to engineering the watch so the crystal doesn't pop out with under-pressure) The DS also features a better triplock crown seal and a few other things I can't remember. (Plus lots of writing around the inside of the case crystal shoulder...)

Pesty, think of it as a watch lapdance...!

I am a big fan of the super ocean heritage. Be cautious of the full sized version, it's massive. I tried on the reduced version and it's a lovely size and is beautifully well made. It looks especially good in copper wink

IWC Aquatimer - a class above (especially if you can get your mitts on a GST 3536 in Titanium).

I am already waiting on an arrival from the same manufacturer.

I wish DHL would get a bloody move on.

Sold my Hercules so the hunt is on!

Going to call a couple of the local AD's tomorrow. Would love a seadweller but finding one for around the 2k mark is going to be very hard frown Even subs seem a good bit more. 2.5k is probably my top whack.

Lefty,

Would you be interested in a Panerai Submersible? (PAM 25 if you want to Google)

A mate has been humming and hawing about selling recently. I think he'd accept £2.8k for a quick sale. I appreicate that's slightly above your budget but from what I understand that's not a bad price.

Let me know if you want me to put the two of you in touch.

Cheers

James
