Rolex Milgauss, Advice please
Discussion
Hello, i am after some advice.
I am buying myself a watcgh and have decided upon a Rolex Milgauss. It will be a present to myself as a wedding gift from our friends and family. My other half has allready brought the watch she like, i have been draging my feet. lol
So i have been searching shops, ebay and other adds and have found one at a good price in good condition on ebay. I have spoken to the seller and he is going to provide me with the serial number to check it on the Rolex register tomorrow. It is boxed with Inner outer box, hang tags, manuals, cleaning cloth, guarantee card. It was orignally from Germany.
The seller has got good feedback on ebay from selling watches and has other watchs listed. He has also said he is happy to meet me at a Rolex dealer if i wanted.
So is there anything else i need to check when i go and look at it assuming it doesnt come up on the Register. I have never brought any watches of this value before so looking for some advice.
Many Thanks Andy

Have been given the heads up this morning that Watches of Switzerland (if there is one near you - get down there) are offering 0% interest with 10% deposit on ALL stock - including I would think the Milgauss.
I am no expert on Rolex and probably wouldn't be able to spot a fake but with a watch of that value, would definatley buy from an AD and pay that little bit extra for the peace of mind. One of these is next on my list, but won't be for a while as have to save for it. Good luck with your search and be sure to post pictures on the wristshot 2010 thread

I'm no expert either, but if you check the serial number with Rolex, and the serial number on the rehaut matches the paperwork, I'd be pretty confident it was a real one.ETA............. well, maybe not. I've just seen a fake Sub with an engraved rehaut.
Best to have a dealer take the back off and check what's inside!

Hi all
sorry for the thread hi jack but I am just about to press the button on a black faced one of these but have a choice of 2, both are brand new and unworn one is a "V" serial number with a few hundred off retail the other is an "M" serial with a £1100 saving.
Just wondered if anyone can shed some light on the difference if any, apart from the "M" being a year older.
many thanks in advance.

Hi Kev, from what i understand. M is last years and V is this years. There are no differences between the two, I rang up Rolex to check the one i am interested in> Just out of interest where is the watch from with the big saving. The one i found is around £1100 cheaper than list but its allways worth shopping around.
Can any one help me out with what paperwork should be supplied with the watch.
