Hi there, newbie here. Just introduced myself in GG, thought I'd ask for my first piece of advice in here though. Been an avid wis for a while now and while I'm happy choosing watches for myself I'm having a complete nightmare trying to find a wedding present for my fiance.

I've got a budget of £1000 and I would dearly like an automatic/manual wind omega but I can't seem to find anything suitable, so the question is for around that price can I get a ladies auto or maybe manual wind from a manufactuer like omega, tag, cartier etc, or do I have to adjust my budget.

Thanks in advance.

Try Oris - they do some ladies autos. Dizzy Gillespie rings a bell as being the model range but I could be wrong. Available for less than your budget too if you shop around.....

Second the recommendation for Oris ladies watches, but the Dizzy Gillespie is a Gents special edition watch (I know 'cos I own one!). I think that their ladies watches come under the Big Crown range.

Yep - you're right. The ladies collection was Miles Davis, if you can still find them.......

ETA: they've updated the range to this: linky And if you get one and she umms and ahhs about strap or bracelet, get the bracelet! It's fking expensive if you buy it on its own later. Having said that, the bracelet is a lovely piece of work.
