Just as it says, if you had the RRP of £6350 ready to spend on 1 piece, then what would it be? Would you buy the most hyped watch of all time, or would the smart money go on something else more exotic, but would be enduring in design, classy and hold (most) of it's value? Would it be new or pre-owned?

Forget the Deep Sea or expensive end Speedy's!

Opinions??

I'm really turning onto those IWC's, I have to admit. Do they hold value quite well?

Had an Omega in for a service and back at shop today, they're an IWC dealer (as well as Patek) so will have a closer look!

wink (not mine by the way!)

I'm not sure what I'd buy really, I love the Daytona's but couldn't see me buying one

That is SUCH a rip off.

I'm surprised Rolex haven't stamped on it.

It is amazing that they're allowed to do it. Especially a company like Rotary.

Unfortunately they range seems to be full of various copies at the moment

That AP is a tad garish! eek I wouldn't say no to a 'non-blinged' Royal Oak though, but the £8-10K price tag makes them a little inaccessible at the moment!

I'm not a huge fan of Rolex watches myself, and given the choice from their range, I'd choose a Sea-Dweller/SDDS over the Daytona. However if I had £6K burning a hole in my pocket I would be looking at a either a Glashutte or a JLC cloud9

Glashutte Sport Evolution:

Glashutte Panomatic Lunar:

JLC Master Compressor Diving Chronograph:

... and I would probably walk out of the JLC Boutique in London with this:

JLC Master Compressor Chronograph:

Oh My God!

In answer to the original post, I'd probably buy a Seadweller and keep the change.

There are two possible outcomes if I were to wear something like that to the office.

A) I'd get laughed at

or

B) I'd be investigated for fraud.

The latter assumes anyone believed it was real.
