Cheers, That one in the link appears to have a rounder case
It's a completely different model
yes, the one posted is a "Vintage" - a new model, styled to look older..they do it in black PVD, gold and steel....

the "Striking 10" (what I posted a link to) is near as dammit a re-issue of the original 1969 "el primero" or "the first" ...well they were announced late 1969...likely 1970 before mass availability....
I know!

I am/was tempted by the Vintage by would actually prefer one of the originals like you have.
I prefer the round case Striking 10 to the Vintage ...

I saw a 1969 model at Watches of Distinction a couple of weeks back for £2750, but Ive just checked to give you a link, but its gone already frown
Cheers anyway smile

no worries - I spotted one on Chrono24 too...but its gone. Zenith seem a lot more popular on the continent than in the UK, theres always a good selection on there, although some are quite pricey .

spotted this - original 1969 vintage model....only downside is the yellow gold ...I prefer steel myself smile

Not quite as old (and cack photos) smile

I much prefer the classic looking Zeniths to their new ones...

Lovely watches.

I like your style Murph - I had a similar Port Royal V chrono until a recent clear out ...

Ditto - cars too by the look of it biggrin

Zenith really went off the rails with some of their modern watches IMO.

yes, funny how tastes in cars and watches often go together wink

that new CEO they got 10 years ago (now gone I believe) properly buggered their designs up IMO ....now hes gone, what do we get; a re-issue of the 1969 model and a selection of "new vintage" models that look like 70's ones ....could be worse I guess, at least they are back on the right track ....stick with the old classic designs they are reknowned for
