Every flip on a watch and instantly regret it!?
Discussion
Well I did...
I bought my SMP Bond in February
I traded it in towards a Breitling Chronomat shortly after and instantly regretted it.
So today I replaced it, not exactly the same, but I went for the blue version this time so as not to have exactly the same watch...
I introduce to you, my new SMP Bond.

What you after buying or trading?
You ask that like it's a logical process I go through working out what specifications I need in a watch. I see, I lust, I send money. Nolar Dog said:
Talking of TZ, you know that chequered bezel Soxa?

iAlex,
I bought m Seamaster in 1997. It's the JB first edition in blue, quartz not auto. It's been everywhere I've been around the World and never faltered. Now it's looking well used! I had it serviced last year at Swiss Time Services. Thye asked if I'd like to have it fully refurbished to look like it was new again: no way, that would have been a disaster! I'd never sell this watch on. In fact it's in my Will to my forst grandson. The other grandson will get my Porsche Design P011.
Here's a pic.

They're most definitely a timeless design aren't they!
I sold my black one and literally within a couple of hours of posting it I was absolutely gutted. Even when I received the Breitling, it just didn't ease that horrible feeling in my stomach. These things are £2080 now and I knew I really couldn't justify going out and spending that on a replacement. Luckily this came up at just over half that price on TZ UK and I couldn't resist.
What was the reasoning behind not getting it full serviced and refurbed?

iAlex,
The watch was totally serviced: taken apart, mechanics seen to (such as they are in a quartz watch),new seals etc plus battery, done by Swiss Time Services, Omega's official UK service company. I dealt with them direct rather than go though a high street shop. Well pleased with the job done. It was only the second full service on the watch.
A full refurb would have meant having the bracelet and clasp polished, the bezel probably replaced so as not to show its wear and tear anymore, etc. However, although I was assured this would mean the watch would come back looking just like new, I did not want to lose the watch's patina of world wide adventure: pure nostalgia, I know, but this aging watch and me go together!
