13.06 today, twas a tad windy today!
Any good photos James?
Wotcher Andy, was beginning to think you'd gone on holiday through the lack of spots! Any good photos James?
Didn't stay for too long today, was bitterly cold! Did see a few decent things tho' -
Lovely T cab Scania, not a common sight, with a very large cherry picker on the trailer.
Old skool V8 Scannie transporting a massive reel of heavy metal cable (Power lines perhaps)
One of Eddies 60 foot Draw-bars (Kathleen Veronica, M460) Hope he was loaded as the trailer on the back weighs less than the truck unladen! Would make it a very challenging beast to control to say the least in gusty conditions such as today!...

........and again 13.06 today, tad windy!
Any good photos today James?
Didn't think it was as windy as it was yesterday (i noticed you were struggling against the wind quite a bit on the bike going up the road yesterday!) Any good photos today James?
Got a few photos, the usual mix of interesting stuff was on the road again today -
Swiss army knife on wheels, Unimog U500 belonging to UK Power Networks. I love these!
DAF XF trasnporting a big new New Holland combine.
My first spot of a brand new Scania R730 V8 (730 BHP!) what a beast!
Hi Andy, yeah it was that horrible drizzle that seems to soak you quicker!...
I'm intending to get up there for a little while everyday this week, last minute Xmas deliveries should bring some decent stuff out!... :rubshandstogether:
Made a good start today despite the conditions! -
The mother of all mobile cranes, a massive Liebherr! Easily the biggest i've seen on the road!
Lovely Stobart Volvo FH (Fiona Mary, H5800) pulling a Biomass container (Sometimes use these to lug bulk amounts of salt/grit to their own yards at busy times during the winter)
Also a couple of very nice Volvo FH16s (One of the most well known and most powerful lorries in the haulage world) from different eras too -

Hi James, 13.06 today..........really mild today.
Yeah it was rather pleasant indeed today i must say! The improved weather conditions and the fact i spotted 18 Eddies from there today (New record! wa-hey! ) made it all the more pleasurable!
I suppose i should post a few snaps!-

Hi James,
Do you ever spot any of our (Fairline's) boats being transported down the A1? They are quite a spectical, especially when the police have to stop the traffic to allow the trailer to lower and crawl under the water tower bridge at Eaton Socan. Usually happens once a month or so and they are covered in a transpot tarpaulin.
Regards,
Olly
Did you have one in transit yesterday(28th Dec) on the A1M south? I saw this massive boat on a low loader just past Peterborough about 10.30. It had police outriders and was a full 2 lanes wide Do you ever spot any of our (Fairline's) boats being transported down the A1? Mainly white with some blue bits....and the widest thing I've ever seen on a road!
