Hey Steve, dont worry im sure they wont hold it against you turning up to AM again driving that posh german volkswagen, just remember to park at the far end of the car park please!! dont want to upset the residents of Newport too much, and dont forget those locking wheel nuts!! and my route doesnt include farm tracks, jumps etc hate to disappoint, the memories of passing tractors at 120mph on single tracked roads still etched in my mermory!!quote=911c4silver]

The posh Volkswagen can just about cope with 120mph on farm tracks....its when you get 2 feet above the farm track we start to worry!! I had to throw my pants away that day! bounce

london road from the landrover roundabout is ok

just north of astons, the old ironbridge is protected by speed ramps

the high street has ramps along it's entire length

The Fly is shutting for a refit soon, re- opening on the 18th Oct for a champayne reception , food, etc, the manager has invited us all along!! and requested that we have a few cars on display etc as they have senior M and B directors attending, would be grateful for a bit of support , should be a bit of fun to, will be an evening event,
If they're happy for a (nice) Evo to attend, I'm happy to come along and show some support

Depends where you look. That's what the BBC suggest and I hope theyre right but other sites like Accuweather make for grim reading.
I'll still be out 1 way or another. nothing I like better than aquaplaning around on set of Michelin Sport Cups in heavy rain

The Michelins have got to be better than the Dunlop run flats on the GTR, I have driven race cars on slicks in the rain that have more grip than the Dunlops fitted as OEM tyres.

They may be OK when near new but I've never quite recovered from the scare I had on them a few years ago. When returning from a euro trip in the alps in a 997GT3 so equipped the heavens opened in the middle of Germany. The rears lasted less than 4000 miles so a 2,500 mile trip ate into them and the car was twitching evily at 40 mph in the slow lane of the autobahn. I honestly felt it was going to exit stage left at any moment eek

its not the supercar thats the problem in the wet.... it is the rubber.... even with decent tread the pilot sport 2s on my alpina are rubbish, with the rear happy to twitch at ease.... these grippy tyres are really made for the dry.... the gallardo, will happily do a 4 wheel drift at 20 mph in the rain...
