It's been an epic day in terms of weather. The Regatta Meadow (the park across the main road from where we meet) was full of swans swimming around, and one of the town-houses across the river had a section of the lower garden wall collapse into the swollen river, and sink a moored boat in the process.

Will see how things develop through the week

Wow, sounds pretty wet up there. Hope it'll be dry in the car park/cafe area in time for the meet. Are there any alternative places we could meet if the area is too wet?

The car-park itself is okay at all but the river-most end. I wouldn't expect it to rise any more between now and the weekend. Bear in mind that this is a flood-plain, doing exactly what it's designed for (hence the humped entrance)

That's good to hear. I must say that as I drove away from the last meet I was surprised how high the river was - never seen it like that since I've been attending the meets (or maybe I'm just not very observant).

River level has dropped about a foot, and the forecast is looking rather nice for Sunday now.

Good picture. Not seen the park totally submerged before :-\ though on a walk last week, what is normally a path was totally submerged in water and within an inch or two of the top of my wellies so I'm not surprised.

It's already lower than that picture suggests. I came by this morning and it was around a foot lower than the edge of the bank, and the flooded grass area was already draining well.

Agreed - it was nothing like that this morning as I headed to the station for work.

Hey guys,
Are people meeting before St Neots at Baldock for breakfast and tunnel run? Thinking if it's OK to tag along and see what the abarth is like?

Weather looks touch and go for tomorrow morning BUT if it’s dry I’m well up for some tunnels, Baldock is just around the corner from me. What time to meet there?
