I'm coming to Flying Legends at Duxford with a few mates and staying overnight at a Cambridge Premier Inn on Friday in three weeks time.

We need recommendations for a decent Indian restaurant t and a nearby real ale pub. Can you locals please advise?

Which Premier Inn are you staying at?

The above is a good suggestion if you're staying at North Girton - if at City East you're more likely to be better off going into central Cambridge (finding a decent pub is no issue there) or looking at Pipasha if that's still open.

Cambridge is full of both - and if you're staying over, I'd suggest a wander into the centre as there's always loads going on at the weekends. Perhaps a wander down to Benet St, where you'll find the Cambridge institution that is The Eagle (which is always good for ales), and further along the street there is the more hip/modern real ale place the Pint Shop.

Best in town, just got a Michelin star but is reasonably priced.

Their sister restaurant the 'tiffin truck' is also good fun.

Pubs? Infinite selection.

Modern hipster, the pint shop
Old school, the pickerel
Trendy, varsity rooftop terrace
Slaggy, the regal biggrin

You have to go in The Eagle if you are into aviation history.

Go into the back room, look up at the ceiling and be amazed.
