Hey,

Just moved to Milton Keynes and looking for a place where I can wash my car.

I live in a flat so don't have access to water or mains outside.

If anyone who lives in the Milton Keynes area has a drive way and have access to water who is willing to let me use the space and water, let me know. We can work out a price we're both happy with.

I bring all the equipment, I wash the car. You make some money.

There can't be much need for a regular wash.

Even the pigeons fly upside down over Milton Keynes because there is nothing worth stting on

Just find a Ford out in the countryside.
Take a Bucket and Sponge.
Park on it, wear Wellingtons !
Google 'Ford' before posting silly comments !

Checks o/p profile - tells me nothing. Probably an axe murderer or odd-ball.
Chances of offering driveway....well you know...

Jetwash at Shell V11/H6 Fox Milne roundabout and Shell on V6 Bleak Hall. But don't hog the jetwash area whilst you spend half an hour with a bucket, sponge and then drying cloth and various shine products like some pricks do.

The car has been detailed and like to maintain it properly which takes time.

I don't use piston heads that much so didn't bother updating profile. It's got some info now

Wouldn’t a petrol station with a DIY jet wash do? Just take along a bucket, wash mitt, cleaning potions etc and crack on. Done it myself loads of times when I’ve been away on a driving holiday or visiting friends.

The problem I find is I don't want to feel rushed if there's someone waiting

HKS Saxon Service Station has a self service jetwash although it also has a hand car wash.

I know its ok because its one of many throughout the Midlands we service and supply with the jet wash chemicals.

If you want to use the foam brush make sure you use the lance to blast all the crud left on the brush by the previous user first.

Cheers,

Tony

Get a portable battery/12v pressure washer? It won’t be as good as a mains one obviously but mine provides similar pressure to a hose, which is enough to clean the car to a good standard.

1. Use jetwash on car and to fill bucket
2. Move car to the side/parking area to wash it with bucket/sponge, allowing others to use jetwash if others are waiting
3. Move car back to jetwash area to rinse
4. Move car back out of the way to dry it off (or just drive off and let fast air blow dry it)
