hehe That's a bummer. I live the other side of Aylesbury. Not the best area, but I haven't needed to stop anyone from being stabbed yet lol.
It's slightly tongue in cheek. It's not the greatest place to live and the traffic is often rubbish, but I've spent time in far worse places.

As a bonus we're close to Stoke Mandeville Hospital and my son spends a lot of time there - it's nice to be able to pop over there and not need to take a day off work for it, or to pop home for a quick shower when he's an inpatient. It's a 1.5 mile drive and I had to convince the operator the other day not to send an air ambulance for him!

Knowing the local area - it would have taken longer to find a suitable landing spot then it would to get him in an ambulance. Hope he's doing ok?

He is OK I think smile

I suspect the fear was that he would need an urgent trip to JR or GOSH, hence spinning it up ready.

It's better than living on the streets!

My ent specialist is based at Stoke Mandeville, but I didn't move to Aylesbury for that reason.

I hope all is ok with your son!

Looks like a few of us were at this meet:

I think we had a couple of much smaller meets at The Grove Lock over by LB too.

How's Sunday 16th August? A nice drive from LB to Bicester? Find a nice pub in Bicester have a chat and drive back? Or could drive from MK up to Buckingham or similar? Some nice country roads nearby is the aim. Hence open to suggestions.

My Bro in-law has a Pork. He'd come along too.

Sounds good, depending on the group, we could have a smaller very early run and meet up with the others later for a steady drive out? Or just a later drive out all together with traffic, etc for the social. See what folks think.

I am happy either way, and happy to help with routes.

I've been in MK 5 years now, and would be up for a meet. I've not started my car all year though, so would only come if it fires up as I don't think my daily would be of interest.

Sounds like a plan. If we moved the date to
a different Sunday to suit everyone what date's best?

Just back on PH after a few years away from it and I remember a few meets/ runs years ago in the local area.
Quite a few lead by an attractive ‘close cropped’ man in a TVR no less!

We had quite a successful TIPEC meet at the Betsey Wynn last night, about 20 people, and maybe 15 cars. Took over the back patio, everyone was mostly well behaved and followed the pub's social distancing rules on tables etc, the rain even stayed away!

Still about in MK here too and also visiting PH for the first time in a number of years. Would be up for some meets again if available.

Shall we get one organised then ?
Maybe a Saturday or Sunday to begin with to make it easier for people to attend initially ?
Anyone want to throw some dates up ?
