Can't for me, am in Jockistan. Bank Holiday Drive up to Fort Augustus to catch up with mates .... looking at the forecast a speedboat may be more appropriate.

13th Sept then ?
It turns out a venue we used in the past has approached and invited us back which is the Flying horse pub/ restaurant in Clophill which is probably a 20 minute drive from MK on some nice roads.
Shall we say 10am meet at the pub on Sunday 13th ?

Know the pub well, although probably not been there for a decade.

Will be there, assuming we aren't combining.... all rather weather dependant.

BTW - I guess it might be worth starting a new thread for the meet.

I live in Flitwick (near the A507, which is one of the main roads to Clophill) so my car's engine wouldn't even be warm by the time I got there if I went a direct route.

There are some decent roads around this area, but it sort of depends on what people want to do.
I don't mind people enjoying their cars however they like, but I don't want to be in a bunch of cars trying to keep up with someone massively speeding all over the place.
In my youth, (20 years ago) I did something like that on a SELOC pub run and saw a near miss at airplane-crash speeds (Elise chopping across a fork in the road at well over 100mph in the face of oncoming traffic, must have missed by about 10ft!).
I do actually like driving fast, but there's a time and a place (eg. https://player.vimeo.com/video/444905282 , or karting @ Daytona MK).

Do people drive like nutters on these things?
