Police convoy M1 25.11.21 evening, Milton Keynes.

I travelled from Northampton to MK last night to visit costco with my pal. On the way back there were two unmarked police convoys on the M1, separated by about 15minutes. Each convoy was 5 vehicles.

The first convoy passed just as we were joining the m1 at MK going north at around 7.40pm. I didnt see the exact vehicles but there was deffinately a VW transporter in there and the last car was a dark Peugeot 508 saloon. All vehicles were unmarked and just had blue lights on.

The second convoy followed about 15mins later and I saw them come off the motorway and onto the A45 roundabout.

Second convoy was all cars, again unmarked apart from lights.
Lead car was a new (fwd) BMW 1 series in dark grey
Second was a newish BMW 3 series saloon
I "think" the third car was a golf estate in blue
I "think" the fourth car was a Seat Leon in silver
The last car was another dark pug 508 saloon

Any ideas?

Moving witnesses?
Money?
Diplomats?
Organs?
Prisoners?

Possibly doing trial runs or maybe even starting to fill up the new mega prison in Wellingborough?

So there was a convoy of vehicles, which you have helpfully listed the makes and models of. All are unmarked, save for blue lights.

It could literally be anything.

With all due respect, can I ask why are you curious? I wouldn't give it a second thought, let alone raise a topic.

Because it was a really odd mix of vehicles. Two convoys of blue light cars 15 mins apart that were nose to tail, presumably taking the same route

Not seen anything like it before.

I saw a nuclear material transport convoy once up north on the M6 and that was pretty interesting too, but very different.

Do you never wonder or think about stuff you've seen on the motorway?

For your merriment I also saw an articulated low loader that was severely crabbing to the right.

Well, clearly I do, but not police convoys other than a 1 second thought of
