Knebworth is also dry - a hangover (arf!) from Quaker ownership days. No pubs, the station has a bar.

Kimpton and those areas have nasty linear overgrown hamlet vibes when a bypass would work wonders. The Knebworth traffic is also pretty nasty… Apart from that they are great.

Agreed about WGC, feels like its dying on its feet in terms of destinations and things to do. Hitchin is the opposite - lots going on and new places recently opened. But like most places round here, the dull box house developers are concreting over land on the edges of Hitchin so its going to get more crowded on roads and trains and in schools. Still a way better bet than WGC.
