Where'd you get it from in the end, if you don't mind me asking?
Hull - Brough to be precise, private seller.

PS Mrs Trackside - Don't think that one was me, but litterally half the people selling S3/V8S's (inclduing the guy I bought this one off) seem to be called Chris! It must be some sort of demographic. In fact, come to think of it, so were a couple of the people who gave me advice whilst I was looking (Mr Bark and so on) - we're everywhere! smile

lol, not the most flattering of angles.

Are you missing a boot lock there, or is that a trick of the light?

No, that's how it's meant to look.

Is this a better angle for you? biggrin

interesting plate and rear lamps and the wheels aren't too bad either, tastefully modded indeed!
cheers dude, hey I remember when the cerb was my fantasy car. Like everything else, remember things/objects in life don't make your life complete!

when you get a "thing" youve always wanted, you're still the same person, you just have that extra thing which you were after.

oh, and if you fancy a drive in the cerb, let me know when you're about, or if you go to any meets
sorry its taken me a while to get back to this, but yes i quite agree!

cheers for the offer for a blast in the Cerb, i'd love to some time! biggrin
been meaning to get along to a meet for a little while and i hear the Herts & Beds lot did pretty well last sunday! around 55 cars IIRC?

Ah, catches on the corners, can see them on the original picture now I know what to look for!

Very nice, when is it all finished and drivable then?

Thanks,

She's pretty much done. Hopefully within the next two weeks it's off for an MOT then, as they say 'The World Is My Lobster'. smile

Well, it's my Dads toy but i help out a lot. How we got into it...well Dad bought a 1954 Ford Pop in the late 70's and decided to Hot rod it. Well he got bored of parking it in a muddy field and showing it off so he dropped a 3.0 Essex V6 in it and went Drag racing. As people will know, speed is a disease and after an electrifying 16 second pass, he went home ripped the motor out and beefed it up including a supercharger. The cool thing with the car is that he used to drive it from home (Milton Keynes) to the track with all the weekend gear on board, race then drive home. Anyway, Dad decided to rebuild it in the 80's and eventually sold it to a guy in Holland.

Then in 1994 Dad got the bug again and bought a second hand Dragster and raced that for the 1995 season until the cam failed and mushroomed the lifters and wrecking the motor. So the chassis was sold and he built the car you see there over the next few years.

In 2000 we started racing the car you see there and the rest they say is history, we slapped more go faster goodies onto it including the huge mechanical fuel injection system to run it on Methanol and the like.

We won our first race with the car at the 2001 Cannonball where fellow PH member Jumplead joined us for the day!

Since then we won the 2002 Super Series Championship and runnered up the national, 2003 saw us ventilate the block with a few rods so we came back in 2004 and it's the same setup now really...

Sorry for the ramble...

Dan
