I see your wheels are up for sale, didn't you like them???
Yeah like them , theyre amazingly light and second to none quality wise, but perhaps a bit too bling for the classic reserved cerb? and thought id raise a few quid. besides, I have a few other sets of rims for it, a set of tsw apex in 18" that I've just had pristine wheels powder coat in black for me should suit the cerb down to the ground. Funny the fitment is same as the civic type r, so i could always stick the crazy jap jobs on that, which theyd probably suit a little better! theres just a slight clashing I feel betweein the rainbow titanium effect and the silvery-green paint.Better late than never here are some pics of my latest car, an EVO VI RSII. I've had it for a few weeks now and it just gets better and better the more i've driven it!!
Having said when i bought it that i wouldnt modify it, it has now been breathed on slightly!! I've added an Apexi induction kit to go with the HKS exhaust it had fitted when i bought it. In doing this it showed up a problem with the actuator being jammed wide open. Further investigation revealed that the car has been modified in the past but returned to standard (very badly it has to be said). The engine map was way out for what should be a standard car and there was no real power until over 5k rpm.
Last weekend though the car went for an ECUTEK remap. Its been totally transformed!! I now have low down power and plenty of it. Peak power is now 320bhp at 6500rpm and peak torque of 330lb/ft is achieved at just under 4000rpm.
There are long term plans afoot now for a bit more power. For now though it has plenty for my needs and as its a daily driver i need to retain reliability.
